Our Shed is now operational, and members are undertaking a variety of projects. We supported the Hawker Land Care Garden initiative by making wooden surrounds for the community garden beds at Hawker Shops, and are currently building vertical gardens from recycled pallets at Belconnen High School. We also make possum boxes and bird boxes, which can be ordered via email.

We actively pursue speakers for the benefit of members (to recommence when COVID-19 restrictions ease further). To date, speakers have covered topics such as the operations and benefits of the Red Cross and Public Trustee and Guardian on estate planning, Enduring Powers of Attorney and superannuation fund beneficiary issues. Social activities such as board games and cards are also available.

We host a quarterly Repair Cafe in partnership with the Hawker area Buy Nothing Group. We also assist Softball ACT by volunteering at their events.
